The fields were mowed short just before the rains and Black River has never looked better. The grounds will be perfect, even for the tackle matches, and those wanting to pick wild berries along the sides of the fields better bring your pails. Chris is already out there, I guess to add to the fruit counts for tomorrow.

Mine Hill Tigers, Parsippany Panthers, and the Morristown Colonials were all on hand when the first whistle blew. The Denville Dawgs looked very strong with many returning players on the roster. This year the eagle division (7th-8th-9th graders) is 50 players stronger.
